We're thrilled to announce that the Opportunity for Growth program is back! OFG is a FREE business education program offered by Harlem Entrepreneurial Fund designed to accelerate the growth of businesses owned by women and entrepreneurs of color. This four-month entrepreneurial experience will utilize the nationally recognized and award-winning Interise curriculum, The Streetwise 'MBA'.
Angie Hancock & Associates in partnership with JKA Solutions has had the honor of helping 88 local entrepreneurs map out strategies and access resources to grow via Opportunity for Growth.
The curriculum covers finance, marketing, government contracting, human resources, and much more!

Space is limited for applicants who meet the following criteria*:
Businesses operating for at least three years
$75K - $10M in revenue
At least 1 full-time employee
Black and Hispanic-owned businesses located in Greater New York City
Applications Due December 6, 2024
Classes meet virtually Thursdays, 9-11a EST**
Classes begin February 2025

With over three decades of professional security experience in firms ranging from small start-ups to multi-million-dollar corporations, Jean Kristensen has worked her way through the ranks of a male-dominated industry. Ms. Kristensen is best known for her expertise in M/W/DBE certification consulting, where she is breaking barriers by assisting small, minority, and women-owned firms develop, grow and form strategic alliances. JKA Solutions is a certified MWBE with the City of New York, the Port Authority of NY/NJ, and the National Supplier Development Council.
Angie Hancock brings over 25 years of diverse business leadership experience in marketing and accounting with Fortune 500 corporations such as Sara Lee, Ann Taylor Inc, Mars Inc. (M&M’s), Ernst & Young, and leading media institutions such as ESSENCE and EBONY Magazine. As the Founder and President of experienceHARLEM & Angie Hancock & Associates, she has provided impact-driven marketing solutions, event planning, and business development services to small businesses and nonprofit enterprises in Upper Manhattan since 2006.
Ninety-eight (98) local businesses have participated in Opportunity for Growth since launching in 2017. Nationally over 9,000 businesses have benefited from the Streetwise MBA curriculum.
